What we buildHow we workAboutBlog

Account research

Who is behind that name, and what is changing?

We combine public sources with your own customer knowledge, so sales knows which company to focus on, and why.

Where we start

With what you want to know.

  • A new marketWhich companies fit.
  • An existing listWhat is happening, who decides.
  • Your own customersWhat is changing for them.

Across Europe, the UK, the US and Canada.

A real piece of research

Two sites. One detail changes the question.

Bradgate Bakery has an application pending for additional wastewater treatment. The address on the file is not where the work will happen. For a maintenance supplier, that matters.

  1. 01 · The consultation

    The file names Madeline Road.

The Environment Agency published an application from Samworth Brothers Limited for Bradgate Bakery. Consultation: 16 July to 13 August 2026.

This address belongs to the file, not necessarily to the work.

    Read the consultation
  2. 02 · The application itself

The work is proposed at Ashton Green.

The summary (April 2026) describes two sites. According to sections 1.1 and 1.4, the additional treatment will be at Ashton Green.

The sources do not contradict each other. Only the application says where the work will happen.

    Read the application summary
  3. 03 · The way into the company

    A route in for suppliers.

Through Samworth's contact page, we can ask which team handles installation and maintenance.

That is not yet a confirmed buyer for Ashton Green.

    View the contact page

Sources checked on 16 September 2026. The application is a proposal; the current project status has not been checked.

Then your own customer knowledge comes in.

Is a colleague already talking to the company, or is a quote in progress? That decides what happens next.

  1. 01

Check the source and the company

Matched to the right company or site, with source and date.

  2. 02

    Set it against the relationship

CRM, earlier conversations, orders and what your team knows.

  3. 03

    Agree the next step

A question for sales, more research or a later check-in, with an owner.

How this fits into the way we work

Three questions we keep separate.

A long list says little if sales does not know why a company is on it.

Does the company fit?
What does it do, how big is it, and does it fit your offer?
What makes a useful trigger?
A change, with source and date, that relates to your offer.
Is there a concrete need?
Only contact will tell. A job posting or a permit is a pointer, not proof.

Research with a clear brief.

You know upfront what we will investigate and how deep we will go. Your team sees every source, and what remains open.

Software helps us search; we judge what it means ourselves.

As part of a campaign

The research is included in the campaign's fixed price.

As standalone research

Its own scope and price. Your team can take it from there; a campaign is not required. What you pay for research is credited against a campaign afterwards.
